How to tell your boss that you have to miss work again, because your kid is sick. Again.

May 22, 2018

How to tell your boss that you have to miss work again, because your kid is sick. Again. You’re at work, and your phone rings. You reluctantly look to see the caller ID. If you have to miss work one more time because your kid is sick, you are pretty sure you're fired.... It’s your child's daycare. ‘No, no, no, no, no, no!!! NO!’ you think. Please do NOT be sick again. I cannot miss another day of work. You contemplate not answering. It’s not that you don’t want to run and pick up that sweet babe and snuggle and nurse them back to health. Because every ounce of you does. But the idea that ... Read More...

Confessions Of a Working Mommy

March 23, 2018

Confessions Of A Working Mommy There are some days where I rock it hard and I even surprise myself. I killed it at the 9-5, dinner was ready at a decent time, bath and kids in bed by 7:30. Wha…...just happened!? Those days are like Christmas here. Shit just doesn’t happen often. Usually I’m a hot mess. But I have learned a thing or 2 working full time while having 2 babies. Things that actually help my stress level and leave for working in one piece. It’s not a solution and you still need to time your mornings out, but I have found when I do these things, I feel more like June fucking ... Read More...

Betraying Your First Born

December 31, 2017

Being a parent isn't comparable to loving your significant other or your own parents. The love that is born as soon as you become a parent, is indescribable, which I am sure I'm not the first to tell you that. Do you know what no one prepared me for though? The absolute guilt and betrayal I felt to my first born when her sister was born. No One Tells You I went months and months stressing, asking myself "How will I have room in my heart for two when I feel like my first takes up my whole heart" She literally did. I could not fathom loving anyone or anything else, because my heart was fully ... Read More...

Hi, I’m Erin!

Hi, I’m Erin!

Hey! I’m Erin. I’m a Mommy to 2 beautiful girls who also works full time and believe it or not, go to school part time. Because I thought I wasn’t busy enough with all that, I figured let’s really push my sanity and blog about my nonsense. This is a place of unapologetic truth. I LOVE being a Mommy, but I am human. I don’t glamorize that shit. I live in Canada, British Columbia for all you geographically correct Mofo’s. I love Wine, my kids, Bubble bath and ‘me’ time. Ie: folding laundry while watching Netflix.

How you can, and really SHOULD leave a toxic boss

I recently started working for a new company. New boss new role, new people and more importantly, new atmosphere, which is amazing by the way. I forgot what it was like to work in such a nurturing, friendly and cohesive workplace. My boss trusts me, ... Read More...

The ‘M’ Word: Miscarriage

Miscarriage. Pregnancy loss. Chemical pregnancy. Still born. You peed on the stick. You saw that pink line. Pregnant.  Maybe you were overjoyed, and it was welcome. Maybe it was a shock and fear and panic ran through you, but once the shock settled ... Read More...
