Wine Collective

April 4, 2018

WINE COLLECTIVE

I was not paid for this review, however I did receive a reduced first month in exchange. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

All my yummy wine I drank.

Let’s talk Wine shall we? I think it’s considered a crucial, fundamental part of mommying everywhere. I could be having the worst day, kids talking over me, yelling “Mommy” over and over again but, as soon as I take a sip of that delicious (red, I’m a red girl) wine and feel it warm in my belly, it starts to relax me immediately. It’s funny, how it’s become a ‘thing’ for parents. It’s our thing. One thing our kids can’t take away from us; unlike chocolate, and treats and ‘me’ time.

We joke when it’s been a long, hard day “Is it wine o’clock yet?” and we all laugh. Or “it’s 5 o”clock somewhere”. Why do we do that? Why do we bath it in excuses? We’re telling the world that, hey, I had a bad day so this is the only reason why I need this. Or ‘I’m not an alcoholic, my kids just torment me”

Just because we are parents and like a glass of wine at night. Or 2. Or whatever! Doesn’t make anybody a bad parent. Stop making excuses as to why you poured that glass of wine.

Subscription Wine?! Yes please.

I did. I actually signed up for Wine Collective. Because 1, I love wine and 2, when I go to pour myself a glass and find out I drank the last bottle already, that is the biggest disappointment to parents everywhere. Wine Collective is a service I can get behind. They deliver 4 bottles of NICE, beautiful and great tasting wine, right to my door. Or, my work rather since I have to sign for it! But, I don’t have to trek 2 kids to the liquor store to stock up now.

I have had 2 shipments now so far and out of the 8 bottles there was only one, ONE I didn’t care for. They include information cards on each wine provided to you, telling you a bit about the wine, the notes of flavour, food pairings and where in the world it’s made. The people behind Wine Collective actually taste EACH wine before they decide to offer it to their members. Plus, they are Canadian!

They offer 3 different packages, the “Most Popular” Wines, 6 bottles, which is their best value or 4 bottles of “the Best”.

Hit up WineCollective.ca and use my coupon code,WCUNFILTEREDMOMMY, You’ll save $10 off your first month. I don’t know about you, but having wine magically appear on my doorstep each month is brilliant.

Happy Wednesday!

Hi, I’m Erin!

Hi, I’m Erin!

Hey! I’m Erin. I’m a Mommy to 2 beautiful girls who also works full time and believe it or not, go to school part time. Because I thought I wasn’t busy enough with all that, I figured let’s really push my sanity and blog about my nonsense. This is a place of unapologetic truth. I LOVE being a Mommy, but I am human. I don’t glamorize that shit. I live in Canada, British Columbia for all you geographically correct Mofo’s. I love Wine, my kids, Bubble bath and ‘me’ time. Ie: folding laundry while watching Netflix.
