Bullying: let’s start the conversation

November 23, 2018

BULLYING: STARTING THE CONVERSATION  In light of recent events of multiple incidents of abuse at a Canadian All Boys school in Toronto, I feel it is important to discuss ways we can prevent bullying. I would like to share some ways we can help prevent bullying, educate our kids to counter it, report it, diffuse it and most importantly stand against it. Bullying is not “cool”. It never has been, but regardless it seems to have escalated to horrid levels of physical, sexual and mental abuse. I feel that a big part of bullying is enhanced due to social media. Why are we so offended all the time?

February 14, 2018

Why are we so offended, ALL the bloody time!? Becoming a Mom and raising our tiny humans in this generation is so different from our parents or grandparents generation. I’d like to affectionately call this time the “offensive era”. Social media has blown up different perspectives on all areas. Meaning if someone is offended, then the world will know about it and band wagoners will be jumping all over it. I am not saying there may be instances where taking offense isn’t warranted. Hi, I’m Erin!

Hi, I’m Erin!

Hey! I’m Erin. I’m a Mommy to 2 beautiful girls who also works full time and believe it or not, go to school part time. Because I thought I wasn’t busy enough with all that, I figured let’s really push my sanity and blog about my nonsense. This is a place of unapologetic truth. I LOVE being a Mommy, but I am human. I don’t glamorize that shit. I live in Canada, British Columbia for all you geographically correct Mofo’s. I love Wine, my kids, Bubble bath and ‘me’ time. Ie: folding laundry while watching Netflix.

The ‘M’ Word: Miscarriage

Miscarriage. Pregnancy loss. Chemical pregnancy. Still born. You peed on the stick. You saw that pink line. Pregnant.  Maybe you were overjoyed, and it was welcome. Maybe it was a shock and fear and panic ran through you, but once the shock settled ... Read More...
